There are many varieties of momos you will find at stalls everywhere. The varieties meaning different types of stuffing like meat, vegetables, paneer, tofu etc. Here, i am sharing the veg momos recipie.

Speaking of vegetables means, i have used carrot, cabbage, onion and capsicum. You can also add mushrooms, cooked potato, green beans etc. To get chopped them quickly and finely, use food processor.

 Momos veg stuffing:
  1. In a wide pan add a tsp of oil and saute onions till they sweat.
  2. Now add chopped green chilli and ginger-garlic paste. saute well till the raw smell disappears.
  3. Add grated cabbage and saute for a minute on medium flame.
  4. Now add carrot and saute a minute again.
  5. Add grated panner and just give a good mix. do not fry for long time as panner will become hard.
  6. Now add a tsp of soy sauce and vinegar. give a good mix.
  7. Also add chopped coriander leaf and mix well.
  8. Allow the stuffing to cool before you prepare momos.
Momos dough recipe:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, take 1 cup of maida / all-purpose flour, oil and salt to taste.
  2. Mix well with your hand, so that everything is combined well.
  3. Now add water slowly (little by little) and knead dough till they are soft and non sticky.
  4. Cover the dough with moist cloth and keep aside for atleast 1 hour.
 Momos preparation recipe:
  1. After an hour, take the prepared momos dough and knead well again for a minute.
  2. Pinch a small ball and flatten.
  3. Now dust with some maida / all-purpose flour and start to roll using rolling pin.
  4. Roll to almost medium thin circle. around 4 – 5 inch in diameter. make sure you roll from sides and keep the center slightly thick.
  5. Now place a heaped tbsp of prepared stuffing in center.
  6. Start pleating the edges slowly and gather everything.
  7. Press in middle and seal the momos.
  8. Heat a steamer and place a tray lined with cabbage leaf. this prevents momos from sticking to tray.
  9. Steam momos for 10 minutes or till shiny sheen appears over it.
  10. Serve momos hot with momos sauce
